Marianne Ames has always been sporty and started riding at a young age. Up until last year she was a full time physical education teacher in a secondary school. In 2006 she completed her first ever three day event at Tattersall's CCI** in Ireland and finished 13th and also completed Hartpury CCI** riding Global Venture. She decided to put her teaching career on hold and compete in Eventing full time. She has 7 horses to compete this year all at very different levels. Last year her major achievements were completing both Bramham and Blenheim CCI*** and she hopes to compete in both of these again next year.
