Technical Description - Sports Units

The device has passed all tests prescribed for medical devices, Class IIA, obtaining the approval under the mark "CE Medicale".

Heat and/or cold are transferred through insulated hoses, coil exchangers (wraps) and the insulated wraps complete with elastic bands and Velcro strips.
Hoses and wraps are connected through tight quick couplings.

The PU (polyurethane polyester) bags are soft in any conditions: as a result, they can be easily adapted to the part to be treated. They are supplied in cloth pockets that can be comfortably secured on the part concerned (a limb, for example) by means of elastic bands and Velcro strips. The external part of the pockets is made of a special material allowing the Velcro strip to be fastened in any position.

Quick couplings are fitted on the medical device, the hoses and the pockets; they can be secured or detached through a simple pressure.

In addition to the production and transfer of cold and heat, the device also offers a "Massage" function (cylindrical compression): thanks to an electronic control, the pressure inside the wraps is changed thus producing a beneficial massage during the treatment. This function can be activated when required; massage frequency and intensity are regulated by means of adjustable switches.
